About the Ranch
Amber Elk Ranch began with owner Bob Northrup’s dream of raising a few elk a dream that quickly grew into a full ranch just outside Ludington. Over the years, that small beginning expanded into a herd of several hundred elk and a destination where visitors can experience ranch life up close.
Today, the ranch raises elk for breeding, velvet antler products, quality meats, and trophy bulls, while also welcoming guests for educational tours and hands-on experiences. Amber Elk Ranch is built on a love for the animals, the land, and sharing something truly special with the community.
